{"id":915,"date":"2020-02-24T22:58:48","date_gmt":"2020-02-24T22:58:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/54thbattalioncef.ca\/?p=915"},"modified":"2020-02-24T23:00:00","modified_gmt":"2020-02-24T23:00:00","slug":"charles-williamson","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/54thbattalioncef.ca\/?p=915","title":{"rendered":"CHARLES WILLIAMSON"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"\"><tbody><tr><td><br>\t\t\t\t16 May 2011 <br>\t\t\t\tWith all the recent Remembrance Day activity, I remembered that \t\t\t\tmy wife had an uncle who was killed in action in WW1, and \t\t\t\tdecided to do a little digging in our old treasure chest of \t\t\t\tfamily keepsakes.<br><br>\t\t\t\tI remember finding some information one time that related to a \t\t\t\tCharles Williamson from the \u2018 54th Kootenay Battalion\u2019.<br><br>So I dug this up and thought I should pass along to whoever may \t\t\t\tbe interested. <br><br>\t\t\t\tWe do not know much about Charles, other than a barely readable \t\t\t\tletter he wrote to his mother in Guelph from \u2018somewhere in \t\t\t\tBelgium\u2019 before he was killed. I would have sent the letter \t\t\t\talong also, but as I said, it is in poor condition, written in \t\t\t\tpencil and difficult to read.
